July: where the sun shines boldly, the nights sparkle brightly, and freedom feels as warm as the summer air. This month: community gatherings and National Night Out planning tips, a project spotlight, an accounting team shoutout, and a save-the-date for our Ask the Expert Day client appreciation event.

Employee Highlight: Meet Matt Stokke

Matt Stokke — Administrative Assistant

Matt joined Compass back in 2021 and has been a crucial part of our company. Whether he's helping managers with tedious tasks or assisting owners, he's always willing to jump in and be that helping hand.

Property Highlight: Welcome MacLaren Hills

MacLaren Hills joined the Compass Management family back in September of 2025. Welcome aboard!

Accounting Team Spotlight

We'd like to give a special shoutout to our incredible accounting team — Brian, Jill, and Elya — for the essential work they do behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. Their attention to detail and organization help ensure that our HOA bills are paid on time, vendors are taken care of, and our financial operations stay on track.

Thanks to their dedication and reliability, the rest of the team can focus on serving our customers with confidence. We truly appreciate the hard work they put in every day to keep our business organized and operating efficiently.

Project Highlight: 3300 on the Park

3300 on the Park is completing a phased approach to tackle water leaking into their underground garage. Rather than installing a traditional membrane, the Board and Management found a new vendor that installs an injectable membrane that acts instantly to seal active leaks at the source and migrates throughout the leakage channels.

So far, it's been a success on both fronts — solving the leak problem and saving the community hundreds of thousands of dollars.

How to Plan for National Night Out / Night to Unite

Held the first Tuesday of August each year, National Night Out events are designed to bring communities together and encourage positive relationships among neighbors, local businesses, and public safety personnel. Planning an event takes some work, but it's a wonderful way to foster community spirit, increase awareness, and create meaningful connections throughout the neighborhood.

Here are some ideas for your event:

•        Plan a BBQ

•        Reach out to your local agencies to discuss community safety, and ask if they can do a safety demonstration

•        Host an ice cream social

•        Ask if a food truck can come to your neighborhood

•        Put together a contest for outdoor games, such as bean bag toss

This is a great opportunity to bring your community together for a night full of fun, laughter, safety, and education for all. If you've never set up a Night to Unite before, use this resource to register your community:
